Pediatric Chiropractic Care

Dr. Trenton Johns is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). He provides chiropractic care for children including newborns.

Chiropractic adjustments for children are safe and gentle.

Adjustments for children under three years of age are often performed with chiropractic adjusting instruments, such as an Activator or Arthrostim, that use very low force to achieve the correction of the misaligned vertebra.

The goal behind chiropractic care for kids is to remove harmful subluxations (misalignments of the spine putting pressure on the nerve system that creates dysfunction in the body), so their body can heal and function normally. This has the potential to effect organ function, digestive issues, colic, cognitive skills, speech impediments, and more.

Children who are under routine chiropractic care will have better functioning nerve systems running their bodies.

Chiropractic care has been demonstrated to improve children's immunity, body functions, physical development, skills, concentration, and even performance in school and sports.

Scoliosis

All children will undergo a scoliosis screening as part of our routine examination procedures. If you suspect your child has scoliosis, we offer diagnostic tools and treatments to evaluate and minimize the risks this could cause for your child. Often, the root cause of scoliosis in children is from misalignments of the spine.

After an examination, Dr. Johns will recommend a treatment program that addresses these underlying misalignments with a series of chiropractic treatments tailored to your child’s condition.  Dr. Johns can also work with your other medical professionals or alternative health specialists in the pursuit of managing any childhood conditions to prevent them from becoming larger problems.
